What is a Top Pressure Pallet Stretch Wrapping Machine & What Does It Do?
Top pressure pallet stretch machines increase load stability by applying additional pressure from the top during packaging, especially on high pallets. While the product is being wrapped on the turntable or rotary arm, the top pressure arm applies constant pressure; thus, even tall and unstable loads are less likely to slip or tip over during transport. This system helps the pallet to be wrapped more flatly and tightly by applying controlled tension to the upper part of the load.
Top Pressure Pallet Stretch Wrapping Machine Working Principle
While pallets are wrapped as in traditional stretch wrapping machines, in the top pressure model there is a press cylinder that descends onto the upper part of the load. This cylinder presses the load slightly forward, preventing products from sliding over each other. As a result, the packaging looks tidier, and depending on the pallet height, the film tension is distributed more homogeneously. It especially increases safety in warehouses with high racking systems.

Top pressure versions are available in flat and turntable models. An adjustable top pressure system is offered for different pallet sizes. Top pressure wrapping reduces the risk of deformation in the upper layers of the load during transport. It improves the packaging appearance and ensures that materials on top of the pallet always remain tight. It provides extra safety during transport and storage.
