Shrink packaging machines are packaging devices that shrink shrink film tightly onto products by applying heat. Products are first wrapped with shrink film, then the film is shrunk by heating with a heat tunnel or heat source. As a result, the product is protected and an aesthetic and tight package is obtained.
A shrink machine typically has a conveyor belt. The product enters the machine with the film edge open. Its internal mechanism applies tension to the film and cuts it. After the product is wrapped with film, it passes through a heat tunnel; here the film shrinks to form a tight package.
Touch-Free Packaging with the Shrink Machine: In fully automatic models, the operator only places the products into the machine, and no intervention is required throughout the process.
The shrink system provides extra protection for products against water, dust and impacts. Labor is reduced with the opportunity for fast packaging. Since shrink packages are largely transparent, products remain visible; it offers a visual advantage in promotional packaging and logistics labeling. Adjustable temperature and speed options are available for different product groups.
It is widely used in food and beverage (water bottles, fruit juices), pharmaceutical, cosmetics, electronics and white goods sectors. For example, in white goods packaging, it protects product surfaces against impacts, and in giftware and stationery packages, it provides an aesthetic appearance. Thanks to its wide range of use, it varies from portable shrink guns to machines in fully integrated automatic lines, depending on the packaging film preference.
