What is an Automatic Case Erector & What Does It Do?
Automatic case erectors are systems that quickly open and shape flat cardboard cases into ready box form. These machines first fold the sides of the cases and perform bottom sealing with a glue gun or tape unit. As a result, the case takes shape without operator intervention.
Case Erector Working Principle
In the packaging line, flat cardboard is fed from the palletizer machine. The machine first folds the bottom flap of the case and fixes it with a glue gun or hot glue. Then it delivers the opened case to the conveyor. Top flaps are taped manually or on another machine. The entire process can be fully automatic or semi-automatic.
