Carton taping machines are devices that speed up the packaging process by automatically applying tape to the top and bottom surfaces of ready cartons. Especially in high-volume production companies, they save labor and time compared to manual taping. They apply tape to the top and bottom of the carton simultaneously or separately, thus automating the packaging process.
The carton is fed into the machine with its top and bottom open. The size of the carton is detected by sensors or operator control. The machine applies the bottom tape, turns the carton over and completes the top tape. In closing taping models, the bottom flap of the carton is closed automatically. Different tape widths (50-100 mm) and adjustable rollers according to carton size are used. A sensor-equipped version is also available in automated lines.
The use of a carton taping machine speeds up the packaging process and provides great savings in labor. Products can be fed into the machine at intervals or via a conveyor; operator need is minimized in intensive lines. Automatic sensors increase work safety by reducing human intervention. It also saves tape since the tape does not need to remain in contact for a very long time.
Semi-automatic, automatic and fully automatic closing models are available. In semi-automatic, the operator feeds the carton into the machine and the machine wraps it. In fully automatic line-type models, cartons enter and exit automatically; they are especially suitable for packaging lines. Closing machines perform both bottom and top taping in one pass, eliminating an extra preparation step.
They are used in all industrial packaging lines, especially in sectors with intensive carton handling such as e-commerce, food, electronics and heavy machinery production. We have different models compatible with all types of cardboard carton sizes and qualities.
